This heavy duty 8" x 3" cast iron wheel caster offers high capacity and excellent durability to impact and shock loading, making it ideal for moving heavy loads in industrial environments. The USA made rigid fork legs are constructed from high quality, heat-treated 3/8" thick AISI 1045 laser-cut steel and fully welded (inside and outside) to the notched yoke base (containing the precision machined raceway and 1/2" ball bearings), delivering superior strength and smooth swiveling. The kingpinless design eliminates kingpin failure, a leading cause of caster failure in heavier applications. The heavy duty, premium cast iron wheel (sometimes referred to as semi-steel) offers one of the highest tensile strengths (30,000 psi) in the industry. These wheels are also ideal for higher heat applications, as they can handle up to 800°F temperatures (consult us for high temperature requirements prior to ordering). The caster also features a premium 3-year warranty and RoHS compliant zinc plating with clear coat for superior corrosion resistance.
